The Behemoth Silencer System

Hey everyone. I wanted to talk today about the Behemoth silencer system we have on the way right now. As we near the launch of the silencer, I felt it was important to talk about the suppressor, its effectiveness, and what you can expect from the product.
Firstly, I want to talk about the name since we’ve had several people ask us about its origin. As many of you know, nearly all our products have names derived from Slavic mythology, folklore, and literature, and the Behemoth is no different. After deliberating what to name it, we decided on Behemoth, taking its name from The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, one of the crowning achievements of Russian literature. In the novel, Behemoth is the name taken by a massive talking black cat who walks on its hind legs and visits the Soviet Union. We chose this name because the concept of a pig-sized, talking cat is extremely unique in literature, just like the Behemoth silencer.
Now, onto what you’re all likely reading this for: the actual workings of the silencer. Because it’s ultimately impossible to have a small gun stay quiet while retaining velocity, we concluded that our best option for a folding airgun was to have a quick-detach silencer. After over a year of design, redesign, testing, and more redesign, the brilliant engineers at EDgun perfected the silencer. Standing at 11.5”, the Behemoth is the most effective suppressor we at EDgun West have ever had the pleasure of using, with an airgun. Lined on the interior with the same wool felt used in traditional valenki boots, the Behemoth is modular, meaning you can add and remove stacks at your leisure for either greater effectiveness or a shorter overall profile.
The cherry on top of this feat of engineering, however, is the quick detach. Coupled with the included tri-lug, the Behemoth silencer system can be easily removed from the barrel with a simple ⅙ turn; for those of you who like to throw your Leshiy into a backpack or a truck, this is a huge boon. For those of you looking to throw the Behemoth silencer onto weapons platforms that are threaded in ½ UNFx20, you’re in luck, too: the tri-lug is also available in ½ UNF.
The silencer will be offered in two versions, one with a reflex shroud and one without. For those who choose a reflex variant, your Leshiy will be coupled with an M-LOK handguard, turning your Leshiy into the Raven seen on our site. For those who choose just the silencer, your gun will need the Picatinny handguard, becoming the Wolverine variant.
As of the time of the publishing of this blog post (8 October 2022), we expect the Behemoth silencers to arrive in the United States within two weeks, so for those of you who placed a preorder or have been waiting for the silencers to arrive, your wait is almost over. We thank you for your patience and hope you’ll be pleased with the silencer when it arrives at your front door.

Is it too late to order one of the Behemoth silencers? How much are you asking for them? Thank you, Kelly
